The New Digital Gold: Unpublished Videos for Training Artificial Intelligence
By United TeXperience Staff
Edition 3
Companies like OpenAI and Google are purchasing unpublished videos from influencers and content creators to train their artificial intelligence (AI) models, offering up to $4 per minute of footage.
These videos, which have never been shared with or seen by large audiences, are considered highly valuable resources as they enhance the precision and effectiveness of AI systems such as Gemini and ChatGPT. Unlike publicly available or synthetic content, private clips provide cleaner and more specific datasets.
However, experts warn that this practice may only remain viable for a few years, as demand is likely to decrease as AI training methods evolve.
